Useful where the part number is unknown or a vehicle has multiple production variants. Additional vehicle data may still be required.
Vehicle application
Make, model, production year, engine, transmission, market and relevant option codes should be provided whenever available.

Product status
“OEM” must not be used as a vague quality label.
The proposal should describe the actual status of the product offered. Depending on the opportunity, this may be a vehicle-manufacturer-branded genuine part, a part sold under the component supplier’s own brand, an independent aftermarket product, or another clearly identified category. Any claim about original-equipment supply, production source or equivalence must be supported by information relevant to that product.
A cross-reference indicates a possible match; it does not by itself prove identical specification, origin or quality.
A parts quotation should be traceable line by line.
