Finished lubricants

Lubricant supply starts with the application, not the label.

FORET develops B2B supply opportunities for automotive, fleet and selected industrial lubricants. Each request is structured around viscosity, performance level, approval requirement, package size, quantity and destination market.

Products we review

Finished products for defined operating requirements.

The exact range depends on supplier capability and the documents available for the proposed product. Enquiries may cover:

  • Passenger-car motor oils
  • Heavy-duty diesel engine oils
  • Automatic transmission, CVT, DCT and manual transmission fluids
  • Gear oils, hydraulic oils and circulating oils
  • Greases, coolants, brake fluids and selected service fluids
  • Selected industrial and marine lubricants

Product availability, brand rights, formulation, claims and packaging are confirmed for the specific opportunity.

Supply formats

The commercial model must match the product and market.

Branded finished goods

Supply of established brands may be considered where the selling rights, territory, product status and current documentation are clear.

Private label

Private-label opportunities may be reviewed against formula, performance claims, package design, MOQ, target market and documentation requirements.

Contract manufacturing

Contract-manufactured programmes require a defined specification, quality-control basis, packaging scope, ownership of artwork and clear responsibility for market claims.

Bulk or industrial packs

Drums, pails, IBCs or other formats are considered according to the product, order quantity, handling conditions and destination.

A useful lubricant brief

Give us the parameters that determine product suitability.

  • Product type and intended application
  • Vehicle, equipment or operating context where relevant
  • SAE viscosity grade or other viscosity requirement
  • API, ACEA, JASO or other performance standard
  • Required vehicle-manufacturer claim or active formal approval
  • Brand requirement or acceptable alternative
  • Package size, label language and carton configuration
  • Required quantity and expected order frequency
  • Destination, preferred Incoterm and target timing

A lubricant offer should answer more than the unit price.

  • Proposed product and manufacturer or brand
  • Viscosity and stated performance level
  • Status of any claim or approval
  • Available packaging and labelling basis
  • MOQ and order quantity
  • Origin and proposed supply point
  • Indicative lead time and delivery basis
  • Payment basis and proposal validity
  • Documents available for the proposed product
  • Points that still require confirmation

Claims & approvals

“Meets the requirements” and “officially approved” are not the same statement.

A reference to an API, ACEA or vehicle-manufacturer standard does not by itself prove that the product holds a current formal approval. The proposal must state whether the product is officially approved, recommended or listed by the relevant organisation, or claimed by the lubricant producer to meet a requirement. Supporting documents are reviewed for the specific product and transaction.

Labels, product names and previous shipment records are not used as substitutes for current technical documentation.
